The area abounds in good pho places, but we like this cheery Beltsville shop for the richness of its eight-hour oxtail broth, redolent of cinnamon, star anise, and ginger. For the full experience, order a bowl with everything, including the cuts of offal ($6 to $7.50). Even if you pick around these inner organs, they’ll add depth to an already hearty, full-bodied broth.
